January 2024
We took a team of 12 to Roatan in January 2024 to build a house for a mom and her two children. Paula lives in the area directly above the public landfill. Her new home will provide a safer place for her to raise her family (her younger brother also lives with her). Our team was also able to spend some time at the rehab ministry and with Kristol’s Kupbard, a ministry that feeds around 40 children every day and teaches them about Jesus.
January 2023
We took our first ever medical mission team in January 2023. The team wasn’t very big, but we were able to accomplish very BIG things. We visited several patients in their homes in Oakridge and hosted a free clinic in the town of Coxen Hole. We educated children on dental hygiene and shared the story of Jesus with many of the children. Many had never seen a chiropractor before, so it was fun to watch as Austin “cracked” their backs! One of the best things we did was being able to evaluate and plan for future medical trips. Thanks to generous donations, we were also able to leave medical supplies for the clinics we worked in.
We took our biggest team to date (20 people) to Roatan for a very special trip. We were able to build a home for the security guard and his wife at the Elaine Curtis Learning Center. We also worked with several kids’ ministries on the island, fed people at the dump and jail, and we got to worship with R Church in West Bay and Bread for the Bight in Punta Caliente. For fun, we got to visit the beach and a zoo where some of our team got to hold sloths, macaws and monkeys.
July 2022
Because of our generous donors and a hard-working team of 9 people, we partnered with Summit Church OK and Bread for the Bight to build a home for Oneyda & her four children in the community of Punta Caliente on the East Side of the Island of Roatan!
We are also trying to furnish her home with items that she needs like beds, dressers, kitchen utensils, etc. Click the button below to donate towards this!

At the end of July, Bay Island Impact in partnership with Summit Church OK and Roatan Mission took a team of 15 people down to add on to the rehab ministry, Jesus is the Solution in Coxen Hole on the island of Roatan. We also got to work with several ministries on the island while we were there.

We partnered with Summit Church OK and Roatan Mission to take a team of 7 and we built a home in Brick Bay on the island of Roatan for a family of 6.
What’s Next?
Because of our generous donors, we are realizing our dream to make a significant impact on the island of Roatan. We are helping to meet physical needs, and we are getting to share the good news of Jesus at the same time. We are partnering with Summit Church & Bread for the Bight to take a team back in July 2024.
